All cancer treatments require specialized medical attention and the country does not have the equipment and medical expertise to treat the malignant cancers effectively.

The President could stay longer than one month in the US to fully finish his treatment regimen comprehensively, under the supervision of medical doctors who specialize in this area. We acknowledge that the decision surrounding the duration of his brief stay in the United States may have been influenced by political considerations, trying to avoid a state of panic in the country, but the State House merely failed to prioritize the well-being of the President.

Why would the Namibian President accept an offer for medical treatment at a Jewish-run health institution in the United States—the same leader who declared Namibia's rejection of Germany's support for Israel's attacks in Gaza, a statement that drew rebuke from Israel and the west?

Several days after taking up the post, a plot to assassinate African Union (AU) Commission Chairperson Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma was busted.
