Blue Ghost Capabilities

Blue Ghost’s design is optimized to support diverse mission requirements, offering robust payload services, including uplink and downlink through direct-to-Earth (DTE) or relay communications. It provides more than 400 W of power for payloads and can deliver up to 240 kg of mass to the lunar surface. Surface operations continue through both lunar day and night. With the Elytra transfer vehicle, Blue Ghost can transport up to 2,700 kg to orbit and sustain orbit operations for up to five years. It is also equipped with high-definition 360° imaging capabilities.

To maximize mission flexibility, Blue Ghost offers multiple payload mounting options. Above-deck mounting provides unobstructed horizon views, while interior chassis-scale locations ensure secure payload integration. Inter-deck placement allows surface access from intermediate heights, and below-deck mounting ensures direct, unobstructed access to the lunar surface.

For lunar orbit missions, the Elytra transfer vehicle enables dual payload attach fittings, allowing for efficient hosting and deployment of lunar orbit satellites.
