Gemini 2.5 Pro is here with bigger numbers and great vibes.
Google has unveiled Gemini 2.5 Pro Experimental, its most advanced AI model to date, boasting significant enhancements in reasoning, multimodality, and context processing capabilities. This model surpasses competitors like OpenAI's o3 mini and Anthropic's Claude 3.7 Sonnet in key benchmarks, including Humanity's Last Exam (HLE). Specifically, Gemini 2.5 Pro achieved an 18.8% score on HLE, compared to o3 mini's 14% and Claude 3.7 Sonnet's 8.9%.

A standout feature of Gemini 2.5 Pro is its built-in reasoning mechanism, allowing the model to internally verify facts during output generation. This self-checking process enhances performance in complex tasks, such as coding, where the model has demonstrated the ability to create fully functional video games from a single prompt.

The model also introduces a 1 million token context window, enabling it to process extensive amounts of information, such as multiple lengthy books, within a single prompt. This capacity facilitates more comprehensive analysis and understanding of large datasets.

Currently, Gemini 2.5 Pro Experimental is available to developers through Google AI Studio and to Gemini Advanced subscribers. This release marks a significant advancement in AI capabilities, offering users a powerful tool for a wide range of applications.
